What devices does DOTTA work with?
iPhone and Apple Watch. No Android yet — an app for it is on the way. And one phone running DOTTA is all a court needs: both clickers pair to it, audio mode calls the score out loud for everyone, and anyone can glance at the screen. The rest of your group needs nothing.
Does DOTTA call the score out loud?
Yes — switch on audio mode in the app and DOTTA calls the score like a chair umpire: “Fifteen love”, “Deuce”, “Game, set and match”. Eight voices, English and Czech, and over a Bluetooth speaker the whole court hears it. The recorded calls currently cover tennis and padel.
Is there anything to pay in the app?
No. The iPhone and Apple Watch app is complete and free — live match, stats, history, audio mode and firmware updates. No subscription, no in-app purchases. You pay once, for the device.
How do I pair DOTTA?
Over Bluetooth. Switch it on, open the app and DOTTA connects on its own. The app then switches to your colors.
What battery does the DOTTA controller take — and can I change it?
A common CR1620 coin cell — you swap it yourself in seconds. Playing twice a week for two hours, it lasts over 1.5 years.
What's the range?
A comfortable 20 meters, 30 with no trouble, and up to 40 in good conditions. Don't cover your phone too much during play and keep it near the court — that keeps the connection at its most stable.
Where can I clip DOTTA?
Wherever suits you — the racket grip, a finger, or, for all we care, your wrist. A single silicone O-ring holds it: stretch it over DOTTA and you're done. No glue, no tools, and you can move it any time.
Will DOTTA change my racket's balance?
No. It weighs 5 grams — about a coin. The added mass is so small, and so close to your hand, that the balance you're used to stays.
How does the lifetime warranty work?
It breaks, we send a new one. Stops working as it should? Send it in and we repair it or replace it — free. Broke it yourself badly enough that it stopped working? We'll swap it too, for a 499 Kč≈21 € handling fee. What we don't do is trade a working one in for a newer unit. The warranty is tied to the clicker, so it still counts for whoever you pass it on to — the exact length and the full conditions are on the Lifetime warranty page.
Where do you ship?
We’re starting with Czechia, and shipping is completely free. Slovakia is next.
Can I return it?
Yes. Within 14 days of delivery, no reason needed — returns inside that window are free, and we’ll send you a prepaid return label. The form is on the Withdrawal page.
